This is an earthy fusion of Belly Dance , Latin Hip Hop blended with the native dances of the Middle East, Africa, and India. Shimmy and vibrate your hips, undulate your torso, flutter your tummy and be expressive with hypnotic and graceful arms! This grounded group dance is a beautiful way to lift your soul and leaves you smiling! If you are looking for an excellent and fun workout that tones your body while developing grace, flexibility, strength and most of all, confidence, this is it! Review of Beginner level, plus: the next level of technique, including various undulations, shimmies, and upper body isolations. | | Modern Tribal Bellydance with Naimah
Modern Tribal Style bellydance, also known as Tribal Fusion, is a blend of American Tribal style bellydance and other forms of dance such as Flamenco, Hip Hop, Classsical Indian, African and more.
In this class students will learn basic tribal style technique and posture, fluid arm movement, popping, locking, tick tocking, floorwork and serpent-like body movements. This class will also include fun combos and playful choreography. Each class will begin with an intense body conditioning warm up and drills to improve muscle control, flexibility and isolation so be prepared to feel the burn.
Attire: Comfortable dance pants. No skirts please. The instructor needs to see how you are moving to make sure it is the correct way. Hip scarves are optional. Ballet slippers, socks or bare feet is ok. No street shoes please.
Drop ins are $15/class
Sessions are $60/5 classes
1st class is free!

| | Belly Dance Delight 1
5 weeks for $50, September 1- October 6, with no class September 22.
A class for those just starting bellydance for the first time, and those who are still mastering the moves. Posture, steps and moves, and a short choreography.
We will work with isolations, hip and chest circles, figure eights, undulations, step hips, a simple turn, hip lifts and drops and shimmies!
The choreography will be to a short song with a beledi rhythm.
We will also review last session's veil piece, for those who were in last session- those not in last session can watch or follow along for those 4 minutes of class time.

Steps & movements are taught built into musical phrases. Focusing on building both dance vocabulary and musical connection, this class will also delve into transitions between movements, rhythms & cultural context. Previous belly dance experience required.
